1) What is Voglibose and how it works?

Voglibose is used to lower blood glucose level in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, especially when other medicines are not able to provide the desired results. It belongs to a group of medicines known as alpha-glucosidases inhibitors.

This medication works by selectively inhibits ?-glucosidase in the intestinal wall, delaying the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, thereby preventing a sudden rise in blood glucose levels after food.

What are the uses of Voglibose?

Type 1 Diabetes

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Voglibose is used to control blood sugar levels in type II diabetes mellitus either individually or in combination with other medicines.

Intestinal Obstruction

Digestive Disorders

Voglibose is not recommended for use in patients having long-term digestive disorders.
